    Restoring Integrity and Public Safety

    Colby’s top priorities are restoring integrity to the District Attorney’s office and strengthening public safety across the district. He will work closely with law enforcement as a true partner while enforcing the law fairly and consistently. With violence rising, especially among young people, Colby is committed to taking an active role in preventing crime and protecting families.

    Proven Experience That Sets Him Apart

    Colby brings over a decade of independent legal experience across criminal, juvenile, and civil law in all three parishes. He has helped prepare multiple felony jury trials and handled countless misdemeanor cases and appeals. This breadth of experience means he is ready on day one to lead the office with confidence, integrity, and accountability.

    Addressing Youth Crime and Prevention

    Colby understands that crime is increasingly affecting younger individuals, both as victims and offenders. As the only candidate with extensive juvenile law experience, he is prepared to address this challenge head-on. His approach focuses on early intervention, truancy monitoring, consistent enforcement, and working across parish lines to prevent crime before it escalates.

    Accountability and Smarter Enforcement

    Colby believes the District Attorney’s office must operate with discipline and accountability. He will ensure cases are properly handled and prosecuted so that justice is served and repeat offenders meet the consequences of their actions. By strengthening coordination across parishes and encouraging collaboration between departments, our limited resources can be maximized while maintaining high standards. Helping us work together, he will help ensure the system works as it should.

    Investing in Families and the Community

    Colby knows that strong families are the foundation of safe communities. He will work with parents and schools to address issues like truancy and early behavioral problems, recognizing their link to future crime. Colby understands that truancy issues start at home and active and early enforcement is the only clear answer.

    Raised in Jackson Parish and now raising his own family there, Colby is deeply invested in the future of these communities and committed to making them stronger.

    Colby is actively involved in the community as a husband, father, educator, volunteer firefighter, and coach. Whether teaching students at Louisiana Tech or serving others locally, he brings a hands-on approach to leadership and is committed to putting in the work to create real, lasting change.
